Practically Green has a growing portfolio of domestic and international clients who we have helped engage with environmental issues and improve their environmental performance. The following snap shots illustrate some of our work and the benefits our clients have achieved. 

2012

  • Develop a waste management plan for a multi site public sector client.
  • Retained environmental specialist with a national private sector client.

2011

  • Undertake a feasibility study for a community charity looking to develolp new activity that would generate a sustainable income.
  • Appointed a Carbon Trust advisor for delivering business carbon support in the north of Scotland and working with the first cohort of private sector businesses on a new initiative to develop Carbon Management Plans .
  • Undertaking a number of carbon footprint projects that help clients identify how to reduce their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Scoping review and market research. Used to inform a suite of national seminars which will be taken forward by client in early 2012. 
  • Undertaking a growing number of event carbon footprints including Forestry in the Highlands Conference and Film Festival and Scottish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association.
  • Worked with international NGO Gaia Education to develop a carbon footprint procedure for its international events. This process was introduced at the organsiation’s Denmark workshop in June 2011 and instigated a regional offsetting programme to compensate emisisons..
  • Worked with new business Highland Key to develop environmental content for their web site.
  • Provide an hotel heating review. Allowed directors to review different technology options and prices for upgrading a hotel heating system. 
  • Develop Carbon Apps. Allows clients to identify the carbon savings of different activity.
  • Manage a Government funded local community initiaitve  – Energy Efficiency and Low Carbon Programme. Raising awareness of energy efficiency programmes and renewable energy options with the aim or minimising local fuel poverty.
  • Niche environmental tourism market research. Used by developer to inform the potential demand for their planned tourism accomodation.
